Japanese publisher Broccoli will release its 3D fighting game, 「新世紀 エヴァンゲリオン バトルオーケストラ」Shinseiki Evangelion Battle Orchestra on June 28th in Japan. The game includes several modes of play, two of them have been revealed so far:
-The story mode is based on the original anime series but follows a completely new storyline. As usual, the gameplay will be divided into two parts: an action part where you take control of your Eva and fight against the different angels with your huge weapons. And an adventure part where you follow the storyline through visual novel styled sequences.
-The rumble mode allows up to 4 players to battle against each other. More than 20 characters are available and that includes the Evas and the Angels. There are also several secret characters to unlock according to the developers.
More than 10 years after its original release, Shinseiki Evangelion is still quite popular around the world. Unfortunately most of the Evangelion games that were released so far were either utter failures or quite nice but very difficult to play unless you had a solid knowledge of the Japanese language. Hopefully Shinseiki Evangelion Battle Orchestra seems pretty easy to play even if you're the type of person who can't tell the difference between Korean and Japanese.
